Job description

Ceva Santé Animale is a French multinational veterinary pharmaceutical company created in 1999. Ceva specializes in the research, development, production and marketing of pharmaceutical products and vaccines for livestock (ruminants, swine, poultry) and companion animals.
Ceva is present in 110 countries and employs over 5700 people worldwide. Since 2007, its management and employees have been the majority shareholders in Ceva Santé Animale, which Chairman and CEO is Dr. Marc Prikazsky.

With advanced scientific training, ideally a veterinarian with an expertise in internal medicine and pharmacology, the incumbent has at least 5-7 years of experience in veterinary pharmaceutical development or in research and innovation within a public or private body (research institute, veterinary school, university, etc.).

The candidate has extensive expertise and experience and a strong scientific network in one or more therapeutic fields (cardiology, dermatology, infectiology and inflammation, neurology, oncology, or any other field) for pets.

He/She had the opportunity to conceive and manage preclinical and / or clinical studies in dogs and cats. He/She has very good knowledge of veterinary practice in these two species.

This experience allowed him/her to develop mastery of the different stages of a research and / or development project and consequently the candidate should:

Contribute to the research and innovation process, 
Propose new research initiatives and projects,
Scientifically assess proposals for research projects,
Propose and manage a program of exploratory studies to reach proof of concept,
Ensure the realization and thorough scientific interpretation of the results of the studies.

The candidate thus has a good knowledge of the methodology of preclinical and / or clinical trials (GLP/GCP, evaluation criteria, biostatistics), monitoring of trials and European regulations.

He/She ideally worked in an environment strongly structured by regulatory constraints (EU and/or US).

Knowledge in international development (USA in particular) is an important asset, as well as experience in "medical writing". Knowledge of statistics, toxicology and pharmacokinetics / pharmacodynamics is essential.

Ideally, the candidate also has the practice of managing CROs.
